Dear esteemed Friends of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery,
On behalf of the organizing committee, we are honored to welcome you to the 31st SECEC/ESSSE Congress in Munich. We are thrilled to have such a diverse group of experts and delegates from around the world gathered here to share their knowledge and experience in the field of shoulder surgery and rehabilitation.
Undoubtedly, it is a joy and a relief to be able to come together again and share our experiences, knowledge, and ideas in person, with the Covid-restrictions being softened. However, the times remain challenging and financial pressure is likely to be increased in the medical world in the upcoming years.
Therefore, SECEC 2024 Congress will also need to look into recent and upcoming developments in the field of shoulder an elbow surgery and evaluate the relevance and necessity of such developments. However, basic knowledge is critical in shoulder and elbow surgery as it is a foundation upon which more advanced knowledge and skills can be built. Hence, SECEC 2024 Congress will not miss out in sharing profound knowledge in the relevant basics of the field. Despite carrying the term “surgery” in its name, SECEC will also give possibilities to share experiences and knowledge in conservative treatment of shoulder and elbow pathologies.
SECEC 2024 again will present a renowned line-up of keynote speakers, who will be sharing their insights and expertise on the latest developments in shoulder and elbow surgery and we are convinced, that their presentations will be both educational and thought-provoking.
The Congress will take place at the ICM – International Congress Centre Messe – which is placed close to the vibrant centre of the capital of Bavaria and can be reached via a few stops with the Munich subway. While you are here in Munich, we encourage you to take some time to explore the city and all it has to offer. Munich is known for its rich cultural heritage, with several famous landmarks and attractions. There are also numerous museums, galleries, and parks to visit, as well as a vibrant culinary scene featuring traditional Bavarian cuisine – which is not only known for its distinguished beer culture.
We are confident that this congress will provide you with a unique platform to network with peers, exchange ideas and forge new relationships. It is our hope that the knowledge and insights gained here will help you to further advance the field and improve patient outcomes.
So, let us make the most of this opportunity, and I wish you all a productive and enjoyable congress.
